Personal History/Background

Originally a DJ from Southern California (now an Orlando, Florida resident), MarsRadio started out as a collector and DJ of  funk, soul, electro funk, and hip hop music.

His music selections broadened further during the early 90s with his involvement in and his exposure to numerous genres of electronic music during the emergence of the underground rave scene in the United States.

1991-1994, MarsRadio, along with DJ A, made up Apocalypse (a powerful DJ sound system in Santa Ana, California), used primarily by The Family (a group of multiple party crews unified as one) for underground raves in the Orange County area during those years.

The West Coast style of DJ mixing (popular in Southern California and the Bay Area) which includes elements of turntablism, old school hip hop roots, underground vibes, and an inclination towards fast pace blending and improvisation influenced MarsRadio's DJing style.
